Welcome to Houses

Kingdom of Eson

Quote: "The most powerful weapon in the world is the human soul on fire"
Leadership: Monarchial King, descendants of Eson.
Brief: They are a noble royalty, the oldest kingdom of humans, and the original human nation before it broke apart in civil wars. Known for their piety to Ignus, determination, and deep tradition, they are the symbol of human nobility and knightly class.
Allies: Qual'ama
Enemies: Xou, Mallok, Verthogt

House of Qual'Ama

Quote: "Time, rolling, rushing on, swift, silent, like an all-embracing ocean tide, on which we all swim"
Leadership: Cermonial King or Queen, divined by ancient rite.
Brief: Steeped in lore and wisdom, the Qual'Ama are the oldest known people and oldest organized government. The founders of magic, nobility, and civility, they are the example of reservation and stoic peace. Uneasy with starting conflict, they are more concerned with magic, the sea, and their own affairs than to bother with the bickering and squabbling of mainlanders.
Allies: Kingdom of Eson
Enemies: N/A

Daurin Federation:

Quote: "The doer and the thinker, no allowances for the other, as the falling light illuminates the mercenaries creed."
Leadership: Democratic Senate, led by elected Prime Minister
Brief: After fleeing Quolin slavery, the Daurin founded a democratic state within the desert. Each senator is elected from their own home tribe, town or caravan, with two prime ministers having final say. Merchants and laborers at heart, the Daurin value the affairs of their individuals, and diplomacy with other nations to ensure a stable economy for their import/export heavy society.
Allies: Dwarven Republic
Enemies: Qual'Ama

Dwarven Republic

Quote: "Shun idleness is the rust that attaches itself to the most brilliant metals"
Leadership: Democratic elected President, sovereign over a single state.
Breif: Having been in the mountains for centuries, they had long developed and unified into a single republic so as to focus more on their own advancement as a society than over mining rights. With the arrival of the daurin, a tight economically driven alliance was formed, and the dwarves taught their government styles to the daurin. The alliance is symbolized by both sharing the Steel color in their flags, iconic of the metal export that supports both nations. Immigration is free between both countries, and dual-citizenship is almost a given, though Dwarve's penchant for beaurocracy complicates this and most other things dwarves value science, mining, drinking, and diplomacy as necessities of life.
Allies: Daurin
Enemies: N/A

Verthogt Clan

Quote: "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAR! Me smash <race>!"
Leadership: Self appointed clan Chieftain, usually through assassination
Brief: After fleeing their native plains to the forests of the south, the ogres fell into chaos. Years of civil war over the new land led to complete fracturing of their people, and they band together only loosely under a single clan flag during times of international affairs. One tribe generally rules the others, until they've been crippled and overthrown by another. Their numbers are not limited to ogres, as other dark races of the south have joined. Poorly copied quolin magic serves alongside axes as the fist of the Ogres, and only their constant internal turmoil prevents them from flexing their expansive tendencies
Allies: dark races
Enemies: Eson, Skothgard, Qual'Ama

Algid Empire

Quote: "Even at our birth, death does but stand aside a little, and every day he looks towards us and muses somewhat to himself whether that day or the next he will draw nigh"
Leadership: All-powerful Emperor, elected through surviving duels to the death.
Brief: An ancient empire ruled in blood and blade, headquartered in Xou, the Algid know little beyond warfare. Deeply rooted xenophobia and violence motivates them, though only when incited by others, be in enemy states, or the will of Nesolis. They have little tolerance of others, and less of themselves.
Allies: N/A
Enemies: Eson, Skothgard, Qual'Ama, Daurin, Dwarven
